Great article by Les Christie. Home's are at their most affordable and in Dane County there are mortgages available. All it takes is a little preparation and some patience. Even more importantly there are properties to be had, even in the under $150,000 price range. Many times buyers just assume they cannot get a mortgage, that a home is out of reach or that renting just makes more sense. Some of these might be true and some might be false. The key is to get as much information as possible and then make an informed and education choice on what will work best for you
